Dont forget the launch of PICTORIAL PAST of DUNMANWAY VOLUME 10 on Thursday next November 6th at the GAA Pavilion in Dunmanway (P47 HY98) at 8.00pm. This unique collection of photographs will be launched by Dr Mervyn O'Driscoll Senior Lecturer and former head of the School of History at UCC. Mervyn is one of our own, having been born in Clounties and he is no stranger to publications himself. He is auther and editor of six books on s wide range of topics including Ireland, Germany and the Nazis, Ireland in European Eyes. His latest book just published this week titled "The Irish Revolution: Diplomacy and Reactions19219 - 1923".
Our Pictorial Past contains photograpjhs of events past, evoking memories of people and places . Each photo tells its own story. Some tell tales of adventures and travel; some tell tales of milestones of family events, schooldays and class reunions.
Not to miss this unique publication come along to the pavilion on Thursday night.
